Outside the hotels : "Le Domaine des Pailles"
Only a few kilometres away from the south of Port Louis, the capital, are the stables, the main equestrian centre of the island sheltering 45 horses.
Horse riding lasts 2 hours and takes place in the morning.
Once a month, mostly during full moon, the stables arrange a night out. After one hour, a barbecue awaits everyone, and you all end up singing accompanied by guitar and harmonica.
Children five years of age and over can either ride any of the 8 ponies living in the stables, participate to the horse riding lessons given by the centre or walk the ponies. |
